What a Kopinor licence allows

The Kopinor licence gives students, teachers and other employees the right to make photocopies, printouts and digital copies of copyrighted works without having to obtain permission from each individual rightsholder.

A Kopinor licence may allow schools to:

• Copy from books, newspapers, journals and magazines
• Scan printed material
• Store digital learning materials
• Share material digitally with pupils and colleagues
• Display material on interactive whiteboards and digital screens
• Print digital learning materials

Why collective licensing?

Collective licensing provides schools with simple and lawful access to copyrighted works while ensuring that authors, publishers and other creators are remunerated when their works are used.
