Kopinor is a collective management organisation representing authors and publishers through 23 member organisations. We license the use of copyright-protected works and distribute remuneration to rightsholders in Norway and abroad.
Kopinor works internationally through bilateral agreements with copyright organisations in other countries. This helps ensure that Norwegian creators and publishers receive remuneration when their works are used abroad, while foreign rights holders are represented in Norway.
Kopinor is a member of IFRRO, the International Federation of Reproduction Rights Organisations. Norwegian copyright law is also shaped by international cooperation, including the Berne Convention, the EEA Agreement and the work of WIPO – World Intellectual Property Organization.
